Metropolis Magazine for Women
Founded in 1998, Metropolis Magazine for Women is published by the Shanghai Orient Publishing Center, one of the 13 core members of the China Publishing Group. It is an elite lifestyle magazine targeting white collar women aged between 25 and 35. It covers women’s fashion trends, health and modern living from the viewpoint of today’s “new Women”. In a few years, the magazine has introduced a number of highly successful columns such as “Glamour”, “Vogue”, “Special Report”, “Trends 360 Degrees”, “Classic”, ”Clothing” and “Office”, which all blend a first-class pictorial coverage with test of great readability.
When Metropolis of China Met BIBA of France
In 2003, on the 5th anniversary of its founding, Metropolis Magazine for Women joined hands with BIBA, France’s second largest women’s fashion magazine in terms of circulation. And a new magazine --- Metropolis BIBA --- is born.
BIBA of France
Founded in 1980, BIBA is published by Groupe Excelsior, one of France’s major publishing houses. BIBA is the second largest women’s lifestyle magazine in terms of circulation, and has successfully attracted three generations of French women readers aged between 25 and 40. Upholding the aim of “Always standing with modern women”, BIBA advocates that women should retain their own individualism, reject outdated lifestyles, live their own lives and fulfill their destines as women of today. BIBA has an elegant layout and is rich in content. Its fashion articles and topical columns are close to life, humorous, practical and credible, which has made the magazine a leader among French fashion magazines.
